Portmellon Cove is one of the most sought-after holiday locations in south Cornwall. Situated in the heart of this beautiful coastal settlement is our lovely 2 bedroom holiday apartment, Stones Throw. Aptly named because it’s literally a stone’s throw from the beach. The sandy beach at Portmellon is extremely safe for swimming and there is also a slipway available to the public for those who wish to launch boats. At low tide the bay is perfect for rock-pooling, and as tide comes in snorkelling is fantastic fun, as well as diving and swimming.
Just six miles south of St Austell, this area of outstanding natural beauty provides a dreamy place to immerse yourself into the atmosphere of relaxation, freedom and tranquillity. Portmellon is just a short walk from the fishing port of Mevagissey, whilst being conveniently close to some fantastic locations and attractions which are ideal for family days out.
We can accommodate up to 4 adults at anyone time, or 2 adults with 2 children. Please be advised that, due to steps leading up to the accommodation, we do not feel it would be suitable for children under the age of 5. Dogs are also welcome for a nominal fee. There is a wonderful old-fashioned Inn opposite our holiday apartment and the beach is less than a minute’s walk away and is renowned for its good quality bathing water. Portmellon truly is the perfect location for a relaxing break where you can soak up the traditional Cornish atmosphere.
